REEL

ABOUT ME

Isaiah Walk was born and raised in Crystal, Minnesota. From a young age, Isaiah always had a creative mind. From building Legos without instructions, to being up on stage acting in plays. It wasn't until late in high school that Isaiah started his path down his filmmaking career where he started experimenting with a camera. Headed off to UC Irvine for a double major in Drama and Film, Isaiah quickly discovered that his passion lied behind the camera.

Growing up with two sisters, Isaiah also discovered his love for romantic comedies and dramas. This drove his actions for what he wanted to shoot and act in. And Isaiah worked on his skills to shoot with a natural color pallet. However, not all films are rom coms. So Isaiah started to work on other styles by teaming up with directors that emphasize in thrillers. This proved to be very beneficial for Isaiah as he learned more about his lighting style. And through this journey, Isaiah garnered many awards for the thrillers he shot. On top of this, Isaiah began work as a first assistant camera, studying under several talented DPs.

Isaiah's first love is still romantic comedies and natural dramas. Drawing inspiration from "Sleeping with Other People" (2015) and "Perks of Being a Wallflower" (2012), Isaiah still dreams of finding directors with a passion for romance films and films that take simple concepts and create beautiful art with them. But he's never apposed to a good thriller or horror as he has garnered a newfound love for these genres.
